Chalet Moona

The chalet "Moona" is the jewel of the Moona Retreats family. It was completely renovated and exclusively equipped in 2022. Chalet Moona is perfect for people who are looking for tranquility, who love luxury and privacy and are close to nature. From the parking place you reach the house in a unique nature landscape by a private cable car with spectacular views in 4 minutes and 1 minute beautiful walk. The house doesn’t have direct neighbours. From all rooms as well as from the large terrace there is a beautiful view over the Lake Lucerne and the mountains.

The chalet consists of four floors consisting of:

Upper floor/garden: Large living and dining area with luxurious, fully equipped open kitchen with steamer, oven, microwave, quooker (hot and sparkling water), induction stove and fridge with small freezer. Living room with fireplace, large flat screen TV, extendable dining table for up to 10 people, large balcony and outdoor terrace. Children's room with a bunk bed and private terrace. Separate bathroom with bathtub and toilet. Outside a beautiful gazebo, natural fountain and Loberon outdoor dining table.

First floor: Master bedroom with a Jacuzzi, sink, Nespresso machine, flat screen TV and direct access to the large terrace. Second bedroom with a double bed, flat screen TV and direct access to the large terrace. Bathroom with shower/WC. Separate entrance/exit to the hiking trail. Laundry room with washing machine and tumbler. Small TV and playroom for children. The large terrace is furnished with lounges and chairs. Little garden.

Basement/garden: In the lowest part of the house there is an exclusive wellness area with a custom sauna for either 3 or 8 people, cast iron cold water pool and a shower. Direct access to the large lakeside garden with wood-fired hottub for up to 6 people.

IMPORTANT: The house is only accessible by a private cable car or on foot (forest path, 20min). Cars can be parked directly at the cable car station. Guests are welcomed at the cable car station and guided to the house at check in. Luggage is brought to the mountain station by luggage transport (cable car). Our guests get the key for the private cable car after the instruction by the hosts. The cable car can be used by the guests at any time except during strong winds. The village of Vitznau is 10 minutes away from the house.

THE REGENERATING EFFECT OF SILENCE

The Chalet Moona is located in Teufibalm (Vitznau) and is in a quiet area. This means that it is a paradise for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. Our chalet is in a stunningly beautiful and natural setting. This uniqueness is highly valued by our guests and locals, which is why any disturbances in the area will not be tolerated. This means that the outdoor area is quiet from 10:00 p.m. and the hot tub may no longer be used after 9:45 p.m.

 

  • The house can only be reached by private cable car or on foot (20 minutes, forest path).

  • Teufibalm is a car-free zone. A car can be parked directly at the cable car station free of charge.

  • A certain amount of wood (depending on length of stay) is provided. For environmental reasons, additional wood is charged at CHF 22.00 (purchase price) per bundle. This is to counteract the excessive burning of wood.

  • An early check-in or a late check-out is usually possible (for a surcharge).

  • Due to the current situation (Covid-19) all rooms are disinfected. Disinfectant is also provided. Bed linen and towels are washed at a minimum of 60°.

  • Tourist tax is included in the price.

  • Guest card with discount for cultural, wellness and transport offers
